The Western States Endurance Run, Squaw Valley, CA. The Run is conducted along the Western States Trail starting at Squaw Valley and ending in Auburn. The trail ascends from the Squaw Valley floor (elevation 6,200 feet) to Emigrant Pass (elevation 8,750 feet), a climb of 2,550 vertical feet in the first 4½ miles. From the pass, following the original trails used by the gold and silver miners of the 1850’s, runners travel west, climbing another 15,540 feet and descending 22,970 feet before reaching Auburn. Linda Hurd finished Western this year.

Bighorn Mountain Wild and Scenic Trail Run - 30K, 50K, 50M, 100M, Sheridan WY. This race is extremely chanllenging due to the rugged terrain of the Bighorn Mountains, and has become a favorite among avid trail runners. The course, an out-and-back, is at elevations of about 10,000 feet, among feilds of wildflowers and breathtaking scenery. Members finishing Bighorn include:

50km - Ross Davison, & Kathryn Vidal

Coeur d' Alene, ID. The swim is in Lake Coeur D'Alene , while the bike & run are within Coeur D'Alene. Clarence Lucas & Greg Rust finished Coeur D'Alene Ironman this year.

theBluff, Milton Reimers Ranch Park, Austin, TX. This is the third and last race in the Rogue/Vasque Trail Series trail races in Austin and part of the Vasque North American Trail Tour. The trails used for this race are new and were created just for this race. Lots of members running - names will be posted once the results are out.
